09. Cultural Palace

Architectural Visions
Philippe Chetelat

This show is a gentle sequence of movements inspired by the art of perspective, tracing the changes in natural or cultural architecture from very old representations of the world to the modern graphic illustrations of today.

Using state-of-the-art technologies and high definition video projection, the monumental projection is sophisticated while inviting contemplation. The Cultural Palace and its architectural features are made to sparkle and shine in a spirited and engaging programme.

Philippe Chetelat

The collective led by Philippe Chételat, a Swiss video director, is composed of three painters and illustrators. Inspired by old techniques and passionate about new technologies, his work is based on the harmony between the remembrance of past history, the perception of the present and the imagination of the future. Influenced by several years spent in the United Arab Emirates, his eye also reflects the connection between Eastern and Western Culture.
